The project
IDLocation rents 125cc scooters and vehicles in Montreux, serving locals and visitors across the Vaud Riviera — Montreux, Vevey, Clarens, the lakeside. A genuinely local business: a real fleet, a real schedule, and a human confirmation behind every request.
That is exactly the kind of company Swiss Signal Agency works for: a serious local offer that deserved an online presence at the same level.
The starting point
Before the rebuild, the business ran almost entirely on Instagram and word of mouth. What was missing wasn't demand — it was clarity:
- no page where a customer could understand the offer in 30 seconds;
- no visibility on local searches ("scooter rental Montreux");
- no structured enquiry flow — everything happened in free-form messages;
- no measurement: impossible to know what was actually bringing requests in.
What we structured
Offer structure. One page per model with real information: a daily rate shown only where it is real, honest availability (some models are bookable on request depending on the schedule; another is listed as "availability to be confirmed" — and the site owns that instead of hiding it). No invented deposit, insurance or promises.
Conversion flow. An enquiry funnel — not a fake instant-booking widget: the visitor picks a vehicle and dates, gets a clear summary, and sends a request that is confirmed through a direct conversation. Payment by TWINT or cash on site, stated as such. The reassurance copy follows how the business actually operates, not an e-commerce ideal.
Local SEO. Pages per locality and per model around Montreux, Vevey and the Riviera, a bilingual French/English site with hreflang, clean sitemaps, structured data (FAQ), internal linking, an llms.txt file and IndexNow submissions on every production release.
Local content. Useful guides in two languages — which licence you need, the real budget of a rental, rides along the Riviera — written to answer the questions customers actually ask.
Performance. Real fleet photos converted to responsive WebP, layout shift eliminated (CLS measured at 0 on mobile and desktop after the work, via Lighthouse/Playwright) and mobile image payload reduced by 30–45% depending on the page. A rental site gets read on a sidewalk, not at a desk.
Tracking. GA4 loaded deferred and consent-aware, with conversion events specific to this business (click-through to the Instagram conversation, copying the reservation message). The owner can see which pages produce enquiries.

Where the results stand
The setup is live at idlocation.ch and measurement is ongoing. We don't publish enquiry or booking numbers until they are verifiable over a serious period — the same evidence standard we apply everywhere. What you can verify today: the site itself, its speed, its clarity, and its commercial honesty.
Your local business deserves the same level of clarity
If your business runs on Instagram, the phone and word of mouth, the problem is probably not demand — it's structure. Let's talk about your case: get in touch or see how we work.
